โค๏ธ Personal Story
One of the moments that stays with me is when I co-led a Transition Boot Camp for high school students with disabilities in partnership with Workforce Solutions and local schools. Over three days, students practiced resume writing, interview skills, and independent living strategies.
At first, many of them were hesitant, unsure of their abilities or future. By the end, one young man who had been too shy to speak on day one stood up and shared his dream of becoming a coach. His confidence had grown โ and so had the groupโs belief in themselves.
The impact of this camp was so meaningful that it was featured in the Harker Heights Herald:
Local High School Seniors Attend Employment Bootcamp in Heights.
Thatโs why I do this work โ because every young person deserves to be seen for their strengths, not just their struggles.
